After this course you will be able to scan your patients to detect

• The various skin layers
  Skin layers are of importance for your filler injections. You want to be either superficial or deep, depending on filler material and location. Most filler complications such as nodules come from filler in an unintended layer

• Variations in the course of arteries in the face
  Ultrasound imaging prior to filler injections clearly decreases the incidence of bruising

• Presence of previous injected filler materials
  • Earlier fillers may limit the space for more filler to be injected
  • Mixing fillers with previous fillers may lead to inflammatory responses

• During injection: whether your needle/canula is in the correct plane for filler placement
• The exact location and cause of a filler complication
